Sabah Bloggers Association (?)

seriously, do you think we (sabahan bloggers) need an association? for what?

i wont repeat the whole story, just head up to Bengodomon and Julian's post to get a better picture about what im talking about..

--------------------------------------------

honestly, im not very comfortable with this.. why they called their group as Sabah Bloggers Association? do they represent all bloggers in sabah??

look at the screenshot of the line-ups..

PBS Members

from the link of their blog, i would summarized that these are political bloggers.. ok, there's nothing wrong with it, everybody can blog, everybody want to blog, everybody have something to say, rite..

but.... look at it again..

sabah political bloggers
registering/managing
Sabah Bloggers Associations ??

does that make sense to you? not ALL of us are political bloggers..

correct me if im wrong, but arent it supposed to be:

sabah political bloggers
!=
Sabah Bloggers Associations?

i have no offence to them, dont get me wrong here, but whatever their intention are to form this association, just make sure it didn't cause trouble to all of us bloggers (generally) who blog about something else (which we do!). like oreng puteh said.. "because of 1 drop of 'nila', 1 pot of milk damaged.." hahahaha! you know what im saying? :D

but anyway, i believe WE DONT NEED AN ASSOCIATION.. we might be blogging about different things, we might come from a different background, we came from different district, we all are different, but being a blogger is enough for us to unite!

so whats my point here actually?

please CHANGE THAT NAME TO SOMETHING MORE SPECIFIC TO YOUR OBJECTIVES/MISSION/VISION..etc if 'politic' is the real intention behind the group, why not register it as "Sabah Politic Bloggers Association"? thats more like it.. there's nothing wrong with that. and if thats the real case, i believe you really2 need an association to protect you..

for all Sabahan Bloggers? naaa... we're cool.. :)

we dont need association.. we just want to be free.. and off course we know our limits..

from what i gather, after checking out some website, the so called line-up are a bunch of political blogger. we certainly dont need any association. we know our own limit. if we mess up, we mess up alone, not taking down everyone else. they seriously need to change the name.

damn.. so it's true there's a hidden political agenda behind these 'association'.. we have to reach those people. i dont think they read whatever we says here..

sabahan bloggers.. UNITE!

biasa tu nda mau rakyat tau byk-byk ttg hak mereka & juga penyelewangan yg dorang buat... money come 1st, lebih2 baru bagi pd rakyat. that's how i view our politician..well, most of them :-p

wah... Now PBS can stand into banyak nama ody... Iyalah... Cannot simply mention PBS sudah...

PBS...
Parti Bersatu Sabah
Pantai Barat Selatan
Persatuan Bloggers Sabah

Anyway... Do they blog?

Aku inda kisahlah if ada association, yang penting... Even if ada blog gathering pun... aku fikir lu 2 kali mo datang atau inda.. positip dan negatip... muahahahah~ no offence... :P

dave,

nama tu satu hal..

remember if you're under an association/organization/society, you're not 'free' anymore.. everything you blog must follow the rules.. every decision you want to make must pass through the leader first.. then nee dto maintain the association again..etc you know how an "association" work.. and im sure you dont anyone to tell you what to blog, what not to blog.. right!

what happened now, that "name" represent all of us, in general..

they just have to change their name to something more specific, thats all.. then we all can shut our mouth and do our own things.. but as long they're using the name "persatuan bloggers sabah", which clearly means and represent all of us, im not gonna sit down and do nothing, then complaint in the end of the day..

1 of the reason blog existed is to give people freedom to write. Of course here in Malaysia, there's a limit to certain extend. But to use name such as that and hide their motive behind the association name is an exploitation. Yes, not all bloggers wants to write a political stuff.

agree with you Berry.. 'Freedom to the People!' :D

"Sabah Politic Bloggers Association"
makes more sense.

An association is why some people don't want to go to a gathering. People are more to 'indie' stuff nowadays.

thats what i think too... make the name more 'obvious' instead of general.. ni ndak pasal2 we other bloggers pun kena..

well blogers as u know our people like to be famous in many ways n to be champion but contribute nothing
